West Branch Runs Win Streak to 7 With Sweep at Durant

West Branch needed five sets to slip past Mid-Prairie at home on Tuesday.

There was no similar drama for the Bears in Thursday's road trip to Durant.

Abby Knoop and Claire Bridges each had 17 kills to lift West Branch to a 27-25, 25-19, 25-20 sweep of Durant in a River Valley Conference South Division match.

The win was the seventh straight for West Branch and improved the Bears to 13-6 on the season and 3-3 in RVC play.

Durant dropped to 5-9 and 2-4 in RVC play with its ninth straight loss.

Sophie Nopoulos had 24 assists, 11 kills and six kills for West Branch on Thursday while Sydney Lamont and Kaiya Luneckas each added four kills.

Riley Vaughan had 17 assists and 10 digs and DaLana Kron had a team-high 20 digs in the win.
