With three games in five days this week West Branch didn’t have a lot of time to worry about its first loss of the season.
The Bears didn’t waste any time putting last Friday’s loss to Monticello behind them.
West Branch built an early lead and never let it go in a 53-40 win over Tipton (0-3) on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference south division matchup in Tipton.
Haley Mullinnix and Tatum Koenig each scored 22 points as West Branch improved to 3-1 on the season and 3-1 in RVC play.
Mullinnix had three steals and Koenig had six assists and six steals to go with 22 points in the win.
Sophomore Abbey Fryauf led West Branch with nine rebounds while senior Abby Knoop added eight rebounds.
