West Branch stepped out of conference for the first time on Saturday afternoon against Alburnett.
It didn’t slow the Bears.
West Branch won its third straight game to improve to 5-1 on the season with a 56-48 win over Alburnett (3-2).
Tatum Koenig had 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead West Branch.
Paige Miller added 14 points and three assists while Haley Mullinnix had 11 points and four steals.
Sophomore Abbey Fryauf had five points and 12 rebounds in the win while senior Abby Knoop chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.
